If you are a first-time parent then you may be feeling a little nervous about caring for your baby, especially if you haven’t changed a nappy before or bathed a baby. It is quite common to feel this way in the early days until you’ve got to know your baby and how to care for their needs.
Don’t be afraid to speak to your midwife if you have any worries or concerns about your newborn. They are there to support you in the first 10-14 days after birth. Afterwards, you can contact your health visitor or your GP with any concerns.
In this section, you will find lots of information about caring for your newborn.
